There is nothing easy about life's struggle just as there is nothing easy about dragging a cannon up a mountain. But when the struggle has taken you to the heights needed to put the cannon in place, there comes a certain satisfaction. A comradery develops with those that helped you pull it along, binding you together and creating a trust you can count on. To struggle is not always a bad thing.

Forest Fire
One of the more difficult types of combat during the Revolutionary War were battles that took place in the thick wooded terrain of America. Eighteenth Century armies had been fighting linear engagements based on the open fields of Europe. Fighting through the vines, brush and swamps of America began to change these tactics. The result was open order fighting where you may be separated from your main unit, with only a few comrades by your side.
